A distinctive feature of Checking Network USA is in the way it offers comprehensive financial education through various channels and curriculums to reach consumers with diverse behavioral dynamics in different markets. The online education model is provided in partnership with the Federal Deposit Corporation (FDIC) offering education and resources online via the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for consumers no matter where they are. The classroom model is facilitated by community and non-profit organizations who are allowed the flexibility to use approved curriculums they deem appropriate to connect with the unbanked in their distinct markets.
Other distinct CNU trademarks include:
- Risk Assessment Triage
True/false questionnaire consisting of seventy queries on banking, budgeting, credit, savings and housing that assess consumers’ financial knowledge and their readiness for online applications.
- Due Diligence | Restitution
Participants are required to obtain a copy of their ChexSystems report and pay off any account balances owed to all financial institutions prior to completing their instruction. Anyone whose bank account was closed for fraud or suspected fraudulent activity is not eligible to participate in either the online or classroom based instruction, certification and checking account access program.
- Quarterly Program Assessments
Quarterly assessments will capture individual consumer profiles; such as financial skills, knowledge and behaviors, then conduct evaluations/surveys at three, six, nine and twelve month intervals.
- Financial Institution Access and Engagement
Financial Institution network partners can choose either a low-touch approach or work in conjunction with the educational component and facilitate classes, offer online access within their branches and/or design new products around the financial education. All financial institution network partners will have access to pull reports, download certificates, and track traffic flow and restitution recovery.
- Network Partner Customized Mini-sites
Program partners have customized mini-sites which cater to their specific customers/clients and areaccessed by simply clicking on their organization’s/institution’s logo. Partner mini-sites reflect the organization/institution logo, website, programs/services, as well as branding.
Given the new platform flexibility and customization that enhance program availability and participation, Checking Network USA is sure to surpass the progress and success rate of its predecessor.
